The Wombly Centre

Come sit down beside me
I said to myself
And although it doesn't make sense
I took my own hand as a small sign of trust
and together I sat on the fence

speed dial #1
111 (optional) - 999 if you're American, 911 if you're a Pom and, if you're from Africa, you won't have anything to dial with. So that's all good then.

OBAMA'S DREAM

I say to you today, my friends in the NSA, even though we face the technical difficulties of tomorrow and tomorrow creeping on in this petty pace from cyber day to cyber day, I still have a theme. It is a theme deeply rooted in the American dream that America will not be accountable to anyone.  Not even blacks like me.

I have a theme that one day this nation will rise up and try to remember the true meaning of its creed that: "We hold these truths to be more or less self-evident: that all men, (especially you) are created less equal than others like the corporates the Supreme Court has deemed to be also descended from the apes - insomuch as their actions may now have the power of speech in the affairs of other apes (like you)."

I have a theme that today, amongst the plush sofas of Washington DC, the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood in order to figure out whose turn it is to run JP Morgan, Halliburton, Goldman Sachs, the Bank of America, the Federal Reserve, the CIA, NSA, the departments of Justice, Defense, and our much-beloved Homeland Security, and the United States Congress.

I have a theme that one day even the state of Denmark, a state sweltering with the heat of justice, sweltering in the white-hot heat of reason, will wondrously be transformed into an oasis of slavery and injustice.

I have a theme that my four two little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their pockets.

I have a theme today.  It is the same theme I had yesterday and will no doubt have again tomorrow.  (Assuming my auto-cue compilers are still getting paid by the same lobbyists.)

I apologise if this seems to closer ressemble Laura’s Theme than Martin Luther King’s Dream.  Jay Carney will explain why you are misinformed.  In due course and the fullness of time.
